In another loss of internet privacy rights it seems that the now failing MySpace.com has decided that your use of their system gives them the right to sell both your private info and your statistical use of the site.

In a post by readwriteweb.com including info from infochimps.org that was SlashDotted it was shown that much of your use of MySpace can be collected by anyone through the use of their API.

In addition to this MySpace will now sell your private account information so that any interested party can now connect you to your usage pattern.

twitter_logoIt seems the folks at twitter will be holding their first official conference in San Francisco April 14-15th where you will be invited to talk with a number of their developers and do some “hacking?”…. I am guessing they don’t mean they are holding a Fail Whale Harpoon Contest.

Anyway the conference costs $469 which I guess is priced to keep out all of the ordinary people who actually use twitter and the developers that can’t justify an expense..

We will not be going … not just because it is across the country …

Microsoft who seemingly just got away with infiltrating a number of private computer networks and shutting off internet access to computers they deemed to be infected is now trying to make all of us pay for it through a Government tax on Internet Access.

Microsoft Corporate Vice President Scott Charney said at a recent tech conference that the technology industry needs to think about more “social solutions” in the approach to internet security “I actually think the health care model … might be an interesting way to think about the problem,”

Basically what he is saying is his company should have the …

Skype says they are pulling windows lite versions, java versions, Windows Mobile and this includes Android Phones too.

If you have a copy of the ap you can continue using it for now .. that means you better backup a copy.. but it seems support for these phones is going away and an upgrade will not be available.

The reason was skype says people were not having a great experience… WHAT?

Maybe the real reason is …

This process has been in the works for some time and has been used by some businesses for years. The banks useto limit access to this type of transaction to small companies that had commercial accounts.

The way it started off was you would go into your local business and use your credit card and the business would submit your …

Judge Oscar Magi absolved the three of defamation but convicted them of privacy violations. Prosecutor Alfredo Robledo told reporters “A company’s rights cannot prevail over a person’s dignity. This sentence sends a clear signal,”

David Drummond, chief legal officer at Google and one of those convicted, said he was “outraged” by the decision.

google_logo_smGoogle is extending its push into the Browser Wars by limiting access to it’s sites for users of Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.

As of March 13th sites like YouTube will begin using features that block the browser from accessing content.

Some zealots say that this is a good thing but maybe they should consider why some users don’t or can’t upgrade before handing down an ultimatum…

After all weren’t we all suppose to be designing sites for accessibility meaning if we wanted to we could all use browsers like Lynx to …
